Nickelodeon started airing Mr. Meaty on March 10th, 2007. The show features puppets working at a fast food restaurant called Mr. Meaty; it follows the two main characters Josh Redgrove and Parker Dinkleman. You can watch it on Nicktoons or watch podcasts online. This show is extremely offensive. It is rated Y7; however, the subliminal material on the show is not appropriate for children.
To begin, the theme song is "All God's Creatures fresh off the Grill, so come on down to Mr. Meaty where friends need to eat meat." What kind of message are we sending to America's youth if we allow this to be televised, kids who watch Nickelodeon are at a very impressionable age, after this, children my think it is okay to abuse any animal they want for a laugh. This may be farfetched but if we tell kids it is okay to abuse animals, who knows what they will up to be. Many of history's serial killers started off abusing animals.
This show is promoting an unhealthy lifestyle, whether you eat meat or not, everyone knows vegetables are essential for a healthy life. Shouldn't shows aimed at children try to promote healthy foods instead of fast foods?
One of the main characters' worst enemies is a vegan! This show discriminates against any life style that does not promote mass amount of meat. Is this show sponsored by the meat industry or something?

The main character%u2019s use of animal carcasses as costumes borderlines animal abuse, and their disrespect for the animals should not be televised to children.
The theme song for Mr. Meaty is another sign of the lack of respect this show holds for animals. %u201CAll God's Creatures fresh off the Grill,%u201D is not in the least bit funny, but extremely offensive. Many of your viewers hold very sacred religious beliefs, and this theme song seems blasphemous.
