REINSTATE JUDGE PHYLLIS MATHISON!

We the undersigned declare that JUDGE PHYLLIS MATHISON should not have been removed from the Municipal Court bench after her nine years of continuous excellent service to the People of the City and County of Bastrop Texas, and that she should be reinstated as our Judge. Her service to the People of this City and County recognizes that these fines and fees imposed upon us in Municipal Court fund an already fully funded entity while families in this CITY AND COUNTY are often having to decide between medicine, food, electric bills, and gas to get to work. Judge Mathison understands these situational ethics and pressures and by her service has prevented many families and individuals from losing jobs, homes and vehicles, by working out fine and fee schedules people can actually manage to fulfill our obligations under law. For these efforts on our behalf she should remain our Municipal Court Judge.
