Un-Recognized Sacrifice

According to the basis of our Constitution, and most importantly according to word of Jesus Christ, all men, women, and children are created equal and should receive equal treatment. Any day of the week, look to the news media and popular conversation, the overwhelming majority of conversation is about the death of a movie star or singer or why we should pay attention to a Royal Wedding? Seriously? The media focuses on such things because many shallow-minded folks follow such, or otherwise they would focus elsewhere. Thousands of less known people die daily, many tragically and for no reason and it goes un-noticed. I ask you,  are those not Mothers, Fathers, siblings, Grandparents, and friends to someone? Are they not as important as a wedding in another country or the death of popular singer? Further to that point, men and women, who leave their families and go to foreign lands to fight for the liberties that we all share and desire daily, die each day for me and you, and little is said. But Whitney Houston dies and it becomes a national day of mourning? Yes, it's sad that Whitney Houston died, but is it not sad that men and women of our military die daily for no other reason than for each of us, and for our country? Whether you agree with our military endeavors or not has little to do with it. Most of those who die didn't ask for the fight, they simply went to the fight when they were called.
I simply ask that the people of the United States stand up and recognize that sacrifice is sacrifice, whoever it is that makes the sacrifice. Additionally, I ask that the news media share the true picture of our military's day to day sacrifices and make that the national news daily rather than broadcasting a memorial service of a popular singer or placing focus on their liberal views to increase their wealth and influence. We, as citizens of this country, are way overdue in showing true appreciation; Greater Love Has No One Than This, That He Lay Down His Life For Friends, John 15:13, niv
