This country is going further and further down the drain, and every last one of us is sick and damn tired of it! We've all seen what happened here with Bush in charge. Things haven't improved much with Obama in charge. Our Congress has hesitated, choked & failed to agree on things and move on for weeks at a time - all at our expense. What do you think will happen if an airhead like Palin takes over?? Or how about our very own Rick Santorum from right here in PA? Or while we're at it, why not Jeb Bush or General Petraeus? Come on people... Enough is enough!!!
Let's get as many people to join this cause as we can and see if we can't convince R. Lee Ermey to run for President! R. Lee Ermey doesn't take any shit. He seems to be exactly what this country needs - a Leader who can put foot to ass and get things done right the first time! This might just be for the fun of it if nothing else. But anything's worth a shot compared to what we've got now, and voting for R. Lee Ermey sounds like a damn good shot! Dear Sgt. Ermey,
Though it was a number of years ago, you stood and served your country in a way not everyone can. It takes a mass of courage to walk among the armed forces of the United States of America, and almost anybody who so much as simply KNOWS a soldier, never forgets that.
Many millions of Americans know who you are thanks to your service to your country, your unforgettable roles and appearances in the media and on the silver screen, and your continued efforts and support for Toys for Tots and the United States Marine Corps. Of those millions of people, theres no doubt a considerable percentage of them would willingly bet that you would do a fine job serving as President of the United States of America.
This petition was created to see just how popular that idea would be, as well as to ask you to take the concept into careful consideration yourself. This is a petition to ask you if you would be willing to lead us just one more time. Our goal here is not to offend you or pressure you in any way; please forgive us if we have done so. We all know that our country needs much better, and we are simply asking if you would be willing to become a part of the effort of change that so many millions of Americans deserve.
Those of us who created this petition, and it's relative 'Cause' group on the Facebook social network, sincerely look forward to seeing them both grow.
