Stop the demolition of the Littleton Dam

The DNR has plans to demolish the Littleton dam for ease of navigation of kayaks. Let’s be honest 50% If kayaks are fishing and they know the roll that dams play in a fisherie. The dam in a Quasqueton was removed and filled with riff tag the fisheries at Quasqueton is terrible compared to what it was before the demolition. Also majority of the kayaks on the river are under 12’ so they don’t even oay registerstration. Also dropping kayak below the Littleton dam and making a trip to indepencence is a day trip by itself so it just makes no sense to ruin a fisherie just so kayaks can save 5 minutes pulling out and launching below. Many people kayak at Quasqueton and the new and supposedly improved dam isn’t even a part of their trip because they either launch above and float to dam or launch below and get out at Troy mills.
