A Tampa ,Florida teenager was visiting relatives during Ramadan.His relatives live in the Palestinian section of Israel.It is called Shuafat. I watched,horrified as the teenager was kicked repeatedly and punched by 3 Israeli soldiers in what is considered normal behavior. They couldn't possibly have asked for his I.D. before they started punching him. His mother has a Florida accent. Why shouldn't she? She's an American. ALL AMERICAN. Police in Israel, I can't say I like your style. But it does look awfully familiar. His mother found him in the hospital, armed guard at the door, and her son,shackled at the ankles. They are going to put this boy in prison despite the fact that he was 50 feet away from the scene of the disturbance and had nothing to do with it. The mother says she would like to charge the police with attempted murder and seeing his before and after pictures,I'm not surprised.His father just sat with arms crossed and looked like he could kill at any moment and might. Do you blame him? His son was treated like a very bad criminal and they plan to send him to Jail once he is well enough. The Police have already made up stories and evidence to go with it can't be far behind. But this is an American kid. No,he doesn't deserve better treatment. But he does deserve fairness under the law.That should be clear to everyone.
