Senate: Don't Confirm Dangerous Mike Pompeo as CIA Director

Trump's transition team has named Mike Pompeo as their candidate for head of the CIA. This is a frightening possibility as he is a partisan, dangerous and reactionary pick. Mike Pompeo has called for the execution of Edward Snowden, opposed the Iran Deal, wants to keep Guantanamo Bay open and increase civilian data collection!

Please add your name to beg the Senate not to confirm this man as the next head of the CIA. 

Pompeo literally called Edward Snowden a traitor who should be given a death sentence. This kind of disregard for due process in such a powerful position would be catastrophic.

One of the most horrifying things Pompeo advocates for is increased civilian data collection. Congress has been trying to reign in the overreaching ways in which the CIA can survey citizens, and Pompeo wants to allow for even more robust surveillance. 

Pompeo is deeply tied to the corrupt Koch brothers, they donated more money to him than any other candidate in 2010. Meaning the Koch brothers would have the ear of the head of our international intelligence agency, which is a very scary thought! 

Pompeo is also against the Iran deal, which greatly helped to limit nuclear proliferation. A man who doesn't support a de-escalation of nuclear programs is a dangerous man. 

He has also consistently said anti-Muslim American things, accusing the community at large at being connected to terrorism. Not to mention he doesn't want to close Guantanamo Bay Military Prison, where many foreign prisoners have been physically and psychologically tortured.
