  • destinatario: National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

Whereas one Pete Gray has lost his right arm at the age of seven in 1922 in a wagon accident,

but whereas despite this, he was able to play baseball as an outfielder in the minor leagues with a batting average of .333, and 63 stolen bases, along with being named the Most Valuable Player of the Southern Association in 1944,

and whereas he played both right field and center field for the Saint Louis Browns of the American League in 1945, serving as an inspiration to soldiers who were disabled during World War II;

therefore, we the undersigned request that Pete Gray be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame because despite his disability, he was able to play like a true athlete and therefore serve as a true inspiration to disabled people and people in general.
