your help is needed.
In light of the recent Covid-19 emergency; seeing how much cases are rising all over Europe, especially seeing the extent of the emergency in Italy; acknowledging the high risk that Covid-19 poses for Rotterdam's elderly population, as well as those with impaired immunity defenses; and acknowledging that the only resource we have against the virus is prevention.
So far, the Dutch government seems to be taking it easy when it comes to the virus, as well as Erasmus University. Covid-19 is transmitted at a 1:2 ratio, i.e. 1 person who contracts the virus usually passes it on to two more people. This is no laughing matter, and we strongly believe that extreme situations require remedies. With about 30,000 students at Erasmus University, big course sizes and a highly international community we're very concerned. Not only for our health but also for the health of our beloved ones and family members.
Any support towards this is appreciated. Let's act responsibly together to ensure that this does not get any worse than it already is.
