Happy Yappers Animal Sanctuary is situated in a place called Magaliesberg in South Africa. Sadly this NO KILL shelter has been wrongly targeted by the NSPCA - they have very little money or fancy facilities but what they do have is a huge love for the animals (dogs, cats, pigs, donkeys, horses etc). They desperately need your help in raising funds as well as moral support. Here is an extract from something the lady running this shelter wrote recently.
The horrifying ordeal of watching helplessly, as my animals were roughly dragged and carted away like yesterdays garbage, totaly devestated me and gave me some idea what it must have been like for the Jewish people during the war. The sight of my beautiful bewildered animals struggling and turning to look at me, is a sight that i will re live over and over until the day i die. That sight, is the reason that i am still standing. I will make sure they did not die in vain, however hard that may be. I cant do it alone. My courage is a trifle jaded, but it is still there.
Animals need a safe haven not just to be destroyed because they are ugly or they may cost money to make them healthy again. Please give your support to help those who are voiceless.
