Rebecca Saunders needs your help...

On May 14th 2007 Rebecca Saunders had a life changing event happen.  She was arrested and charged with a horrible crime that she did not commit.  She was charged with aggravated child abuse!   She was released on $5000 bail and ever since that day, she has lost her only form of income.  This resulted in her making bad decisions which caused her bond to be revoked.  This bond was revoked due to shoplifting for the support of her children which is the direct result of this life changing event.  She is currently sitting in prison awaiting trial for the SBS case that was filed against her.  She has not been convicted of this crime as of this date and numerous scenarios that have been brought to light these past two years to include a dramatic change to the timeline could very well have an impact on this case.   

This is not a petition to voice your opinion on whether she is guilty or innocent but something much more important.  Rebecca previously had gastric bypass surgery to correct a life threatening weight problem.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this procedure, she cant go back to eating the way she had in the past;  a special protein diet is required to which she isnt getting in prison unless she pays for it.  Now, Rebecca is not the one for asking for charity but her family and friends are.  This situation is causing severe harm to her health and if not given the proper amount of protein, she could die.  The jail is only allowed to give the inmates certain portions and if more protiens are requested, they are to be paid for by the inmate.  Please read the following message from her sister to me.

"My sister wrote and told me due to her stomach bypass she is very sick. She is down to 110 lbs (and she is 5'7").  The jail setup an account in her name with her booking number for people to put money in so she can eat a protein diet as opposed to the standard prison menu.  Becky asked if there is anyone who is on "her side" that would like to donate to please give them her information"

The county only takes MONEY ORDERS AND CASHIERS CHECKS(US ONLY) NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED and it has to be made out to Rebecca Saunders and her booking # needs to be on the money order/cashiers check along with your name and address.
