Over 11 years ago Scott Hartman was involved in some criminal acts. He was convicted of his crimes and sentenced to 35 years in prison. Such a harsh charge for non-violent charges, most of which he was found innocent of committing. At the time he was taken into custody his two youngest children were 7 and 1, it has been 11 years that his 12 year old son now has not had his father in his life. Scott admitted to the crimes he was involved in and was offered a 10 year sentence by the courts which his lawyer advised him not to take. If Scott had not listened to Attorney Mark Rodriguez of Hernando County, he would be a free man today and active in his son's life. It is very important to petition the courts for his release, seeing as that he has already served out the original sentence he was offered by the courts of Hernando County. I ask that people sign this petition to help bring home a very loving and caring father to his children and now grandchildren. I have visited with Scott and honestly I could see how he has changed and would not now be a threat to society. Scott is now 49 years old and just wants a chance to be a loving father to a son that really doesn't know him except for a few visits a year since being transferred to Miami a 5 and a half drive from his family.
