Oregon recently passed a law that will allow women to obtain a year's supply of birth control at a time. This replaces a rule that allowed women to only get a 30-day or 90-day supply.
This law will do wonders for diminishing barriers to birth control and reducing unintended pregnancies. Women will no longer have to make frequent trips to the pharmacy. It will especially help women in rural areas, or women who lack the transportation or work schedule flexibility to get to the pharmacy once a month.
