We demand Coach Greg Ford's Contract to be renewed in the 2017/2018 school year
Our head wrestling coach was let go from the Tacoma Public School District for breaking a rule that the administratin at Lincoln High School know is broke by other Coaches and Staff on a daily basis. Coach Ford had requested the forms to give parents so he was not breaking this rule yet was not given the forms by the Vice Principal whom is also in charge of Athletics. We wish for him to be rehired as we feel him being let go was unjust and he was targeted by the Vice Principal for his own personal reasoning which has nothing to do with his job.
We feel Our Coach was targeted for a rule that multiple Coaches and Staff at Lincoln High School break on a daily basis! His investigation was headed by a Vice Principal that has stated he would get Coach Ford fired and put a end to the wrestling program. The wrestling Coach has a team of 40 plus boys whom hold over a 3.0 accumulative grade point average and placed 6th at State this year with one of only two 1st place State winners in the entire Tacoma School district. Our team took 8 Wrestlers to compete in the Washington State Championships and 7 of the 8 placed. Our School is located in a area that most are in a lower poverty level, with gangs and drugs surrounding them yet our boys choose to go to school and stay off the streets while excelling on and off the mat! please help us get our Coach back!
