Keep this Unqualified Judge off the Federal Bench

In another episode of Bizzaro World, President Trump has nominated Brett Talley - a lawyer who has never tried a case - for life appointment as a federal district judge. One that the American Bar Association has called “Not Qualified.”

Despite his dearth of experience in the courthouse the Senate Judiciary Committee just voted to approve his nomination, leaving it up the the entire senate to confirm or deny him a seat on the federal bench.

Talley is an outspoken anti-Hillary, pro-NRA partisan who uses social media to berate liberals and promote gun rights. His public stance on hot button issues of the day, such as his staunch support of the NRA, makes it nearly impossible for him to be unbiased. And when he was asked if he would recuse himself “from cases involving the NRA or where the NRA had taken a position” he declined to commit to do so.

Trump has already surrounded himself and filled his administration with questionable characters. From admitted criminal George to his 36-year-old real estate mogal son-in-law Jared Kushner who was named an advisor and put in charge of the Middle East peace process.

Time and time again Trump chooses blatantly unqualified men and women to hold positions that have expansive power over our lives and our futures and often they have been found wanting. Some have even had to leave office such as Ex-HHS Secretary Tom Price, Ex-WH Press Director Anthony Scaramucci and Ex-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. Let’s make sure our representatives know we refuse to have another unfit official in control of our lives.
