Puppies are being imported as young as 5 weeks, cramped into cages in vans and driven miles without a toilet break or a drink. Their mothers are kept caged in filth and bred from until they are no use then destroyed. A lot of the puppies that arrive are not in good health and it is only a matter of time before one of them brings rabies into the country.
