We Need Your Help to Fight Bill 45 and Influence Regulation for e-Cigarettes in Canada

We can not allow this Bill to go unchallenged. There is a procedure that the Ontario Government must abide by in order to implement this bill as law. One of those steps (Review by Committee) may allow for public input and this is where we must ALL take action by actually speaking to the Review Committee. Review by Committee occurs after the Second Reading for which we are currently waiting for a schedule date. Public input is not guaranteed, we need to ensure this bill goes through due process and first get ourselves the opportunity to voice our concerns, have industry experts table fact based arguments and present evidence in support of our community and industry. The Ontario Government is moving fast on this issue from announcement to second reading has only been two weeks at this pace without our intervention we could see this bill passed before parliamentary holidays!
In the meantime, we must use this time to educate the Provincial Representatives to the best of our abilities. We encourage everyone, in EVERY province, to please take the time sit down and speak with, write a letter or send an email to your local provincial representative. Educate them and/or tell your story in your own words as soon as possible. Although this is an Ontario Bill, this effects everyone in Canada. We encourage you to be proactive, talk to your federal and provincial representatives if you are outside of Ontario to educate and inform your representative how you would like to be represented on this issue.
