Sand Lane is in desperate need of a sidewalk from Fairgrounds Lane to Green Street for the safety of all pedestrians and motorists who travel on this section of road. This section of road is a serious hazard and safety issue for anyone who walks this section of road to access Sureway, Goodwill and downtown.

We bring this petition before you to request that a sidewalk be installed along Sand Lane from Fairgrounds Lane to Green Street for the safety of all pedestrians and motorists who travel this section of road. This is a serious safety hazard for everyone traveling this section of road. Motorists come within inches of hitting pedestrians. Some of the pedestrians are families with young children and infants, elderly, adults and juveniles. Motorists sometimes have to come to a stop to let on-coming traffic go by so they can safely get around the pedestrians. Sand Lane is in desperate need of the sidewalk so pedestrians can safely access Sureway, Goodwill, and other streets that lead to downtown. Please build the sidewalk.
