Ask the City of Kodiak to reopen Pillar Mountain Road!

Pillar Mountain Road has recently been gated and closed for all vehicle traffic. Residents of Kodiak are upset that we are unable to take our families and friends to the top and enjoy the views and recreational activities. Many are unable to make the long hike on foot. Many are concerned about tsunami evacuation opportunities. Many are upset this was done with absolutely no feedback from the community. This road has been open and accessible for years with absolutely no increased danger or liability than all the other minimum maintenance roads on our small road system. Let's let our city representatives know how we feel when our access is being taken away!
