Durbin: Rally Democrats Against Pharmaceutical Friendly Bill

Republicans in Congress are currently advancing the 21st Century Cures bill, legislation that is ostensibly about funding drug research, but also includes a lot of financial kickbacks for the pharmaceutical industry.

Earning these corporations more money while loosening restrictions on them to peddle these drugs is not the right step for America. We ask that the Democratic Party join Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders in calling to either amend or vote against this bill. Congress should be able to fund research without having to make such massive concessions to corporate entities.
