Navi Mumbai International Airport Must be Named After Loknete Shri D. B. Patil

Ex MP and Loknete Shri. D. B. Patil was the person who led the battle to give Navi Mumbaikar's the justice for their Land Acquisition and helped them get 12.5% right on their land. The new Airport in Navi Mumbai was to be named after him and it was passed in Panvel City Municipal Corporation in April 2018. Now, once all things are in place and the Airport is under Construction, all of a sudden CIDCO has sent a proposal to Maharashtra Government to name it after Shri Balasaheb Thackeray. People of Maharashtra respect Balasaheb Thackeray and so do I however, the local leader who taught Farmers and locals how to protest and get the right price for their own land as well as whole Maharashtra and INdian should be honored by giving his name to the Airport at the place from where he belongs to.
