U.S. Government Agency Is Stirring Up Baseless, Non-Scientific Fears about Autism and Vaccines

Under the leadership of Trump's administration and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has just officially stated on its websites that vaccines supposedly may cause autism. This suggestion is false, as countless scientific research projects have demonstrated. As one previous official with the CDC lamented, "This is the day the CDC died."
Sign the petition to demand the CDC stop its baseless, fear-mongering campaign about vaccines and return to promoting general public health!
The CDC is the U.S.'s national public health institute, and is responsible for not only setting the tone for healthcare treatments in the U.S., but also for global disease prevention and treatment. It has tremendous power and influence. For a long time, therefore, its officials were careful and diligent in making sure any public statements aligned with verifiable scientific research. Now, due to Trump and RFK's influence, that commitment to scientific accuracy is deteriorating.
According to medical experts, including those who specialize in vaccines and childhood health, autism is one of the most frequently and rigorously studied conditions for children. Despite this, there has never been any credible research demonstrating a link between vaccines and autism.
Leaders with the American Academy of Pediatrics have been shocked by the CDC's website declaration. The head of its infectious diseases committee, Dr. Sean O'Leary, called it "madness," saying: "One thing that is very clear is that vaccines are not one of those things [that could potentially cause autism]. They do not cause autism. Period." Even the Autism Science Foundation is speaking out, saying it is "appalled," and that this constitutes "anti-vaccine rhetoric and outright lies about vaccines and autism."
However, RFK Jr. has a personal vendetta against vaccines and believes in vaccine conspiracy theories, claiming vaccines supposedly cause not only autism but also death. Now, he's pushing his own personal - and unscientific - conspiracy beliefs on the most premier public health agency in the entire U.S. As a result, the agency is being forced to abandon truth and accuracy.
The damage the CDC and RFK, Jr. could cause could be tremendous. If people stop vaccinating their children or themselves, diseases that were once contained - measles, polio, mumps, and more - could face a resurgence. These are life-threatening diseases. There is a reason the public was once so excited when vaccines were first discovered and began being widely implemented!
The CDC must return to its core objectives of providing evidence-based, scientific information to the public and reverse its new trajectory of fear-mongering about vaccines. Vaccines are safe, effective, life-saving, and promote general public health. Sign the petition to demand the CDC re-commit to promoting truth and accuracy!
