Prevent the Logging of Mumbulla State Forest

Mumbula State Forest in South East NSW Australia is earmarked for logging. The native forest is home to a healthy popultaion of up to 50 Koalas, including females and their young.

Three traditional Aboriginal owners has earlier this year led a peaceful protest saying:

We, the traditional owners of Mumbulla Mountain, are distressed that woodchip logging is taking place on part of our sacred land. The land should be handed over to us to care for it, our sacred sites and the animals that live here. We need to preserve it for our culture and our future generations.

Let the NSW Government know how appalled you are that it is willing to abandon our iconic koalas and their native forest in return for a quick, unsustainable profit!
We the undersigned, on behalf of the Aboriginal traditional owners, the Koalas and the native forest with all it's biodiversity - hereby appeal to you for the prevention of further logging in Mumbulla State Forest.

The value of nature is a finite one and once lost - lost forever. Please help avert further exploitation of unique nature for mere gains of economic profits!

We humbly urge you to set an example and use the power granted to you to stop the ongoing plans for the logging of Mumbulla state forest. This native forest is a haven for Koalas and a myriad of other living things, and also represents a unique and much appreciated destination of healthy recretaion for human beings.

Please make a stand for a good cause!
