Teacher Getting Fired Over Real World Education

As a student in high school I believe it's very important for teens our age to learn about real world situations. In one of our classrooms a teacher showed a video that was to prevent drinking while driving, texting while driving and reckless driving. The video was a music video called "Frozen" by Joyner Lucas. The teacher who showed the powerful video with a critically important message is now being threatened with termination because of the video. This petition is in support of Miss Neal. 

Throughout the video you see three main scenes. The first scene is a little girl who just got struck by a car because the woman was texting a driving. This might seem a little vivid, but it is showing a clear message. The message is not to text and drive. When you text and drive you may have some consequences. Some may be minor and others might be serious. The second scene is a girl in the passenger seat after a car crash. The driver was drinking and driving. This message is a very serious one because you are shown the consequences of drinking and driving. The third scene is of a man recklessly driving. He flipped his car and ended up on the ground out of his car. This scene provides the message not to drive reckless. These scenes might be very vivid, but they show a very powerful message. These messages should be taught to young teens.

The messages shown throughout the video provide people with a message to think before taking an action that could potentially have a major outcome. People need to understand the consequences in the real world. Teachers and administrators cannot keep the real world hidden from us.

A teacher should not by fired due to showing a video that send a message to students not to do the horrible actions. Everyone needs to be shown or told the consequences of every action taken. Stand with me and help make administrators understand that teens need to explain the real world to students. A teacher should not get fired due to their race, or for an educational video. Students need to see the real world situations. 

The video by Joyner Lucas allows people to see and understand the consequences of driving unsafe. By Miss. Neal showing the video to a class it could potentially save many lives. No teacher should be fired for showing a video that could help. Everyone should be able to see and know the consequences for the actions they take each day. Everyone many teens and adults die due to car crashes. By someone watching the "Frozen" music video they could change their driving habits, so they do not put others in harms way.

Miss. Neal wants to be there and support her students. She has always been there for every student. Why fire a teacher who cares for there students and even kids at their school that they do not teach? The "Frozen" video by Joyner Lucas can make a person realize the actions they take while driving may be unsafe. There needs to be a change in how students are taught. Teens and adults need to be taught to deal with real world situations. They need to understand the consequences.
