A Call to Demand Minimum Wage Justice in New York's Food Sector

This petition is the collective statement from all NYS Coalition for Food Labor Wage Justice associates who serve as a multidisciplinary alliance of organizers in support of minimum wage protection and fair living wages for all laborers. Together industry leaders, lobbyists, grant writers, legislative representatives, analysts, and other pre-existing organized foundations unite to empower a political lobbying effort to improve New York State’s legislation and enforcement departments. This petition is a statement that we will not stand for continued disregard of minimum wage regulation and enforcement in New York State, particularly as it impacts workers in various facets of New York State’s food supply chains (farmhands, growers, and animal husbandry workers) that create the food products, as well as the foodservice workers that prepare and serve the food.
