Eight Blows with an aluminum baseball bat is Animal Cruelty - Support NJ Senate Bill 3611

In December of 2018, in Lacey Township NJ, a raccoon that was trapped in a leg trap, was brutally beaten to death with an aluminum baseball bat in the most inhumane fashion possible. The young individuals involved in this murder posted the video they recorded of it on social media. The Ocean County Prosecutor refused to communicate with us in regard to this incident because those involved were minors.

When asked to revoke the trapping license held by the individual who filmed this atrocity, the State Division of Fish & Wildlife stated they could take no action nor even comment on the incident as again, those involved were minors, even though the incident was a gross violation of their own trapping regulations.

State Senate Bill 3611 (put forward by Senator Vin Gopal) proposes to change the minimum age that a trapping license can be issue from 12 years old, to 18 years old. We fully endorse this bill, being that if licenses can't be revoked from minors, they shouldn't be issued to them. This bill is presently sitting in Committee.

Please sign our petition to tell the NJ Senate Committee you support Senate Bill 3611 and that it needs to be passed along to the full Senate and Assembly and signed in to law as soon as possible!
