The Executive Board NEVER voted to remove Bishop Rex Waddell from the 2018 election!

During the recent Executive Board meeting held in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday, April 7, 2018; Vice Chief Leroy Smith Jr. presented a letter expressing his constitutional interpretation that in as much as Bishop Waddell has not presided over a district he is therefore ineligible to run for the office of Chief Bishop. The board DID NOT vote on this matter. Bishop Waddell was approved by the Facilitating Committee and that report was accepted by the executive board by motion in our October 2017 conference call meeting. Therefore Bishop Waddell is currently ELIGIBLE to seek the office of Chief Bishop in the 2018 election "
