Frostburg Fire Siren: Citizen Request for Information and a Review of the Use

There is community confusion and uncertainty over the use of the fire siren. Is it necessary? Does the repeated use for fire calls dilute its effectiveness for weather and other emergencies? Is it a health hazard? What is the current protocol for usage? By signing this petition you are expressing your concern about the repeated use of the fire siren and asking for a public dialogue and review of the use.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Thank you, Joe Hoffman, for sharing that, in the event of an emergency, such as a tornado, the siren will make the same sound as it does now, but will be repeated until the emergency is passed.
