It's bad enough that millions of "Daily Show" fans are losing Jon Stewart, who earlier this year announced his upcoming retirement. While I'm sure that all of us understand and wish him well, the focus of this petition is on Comedy Central's choice for Jon's replacement: Trevor Noah. In case you've never heard of him (I really hadn't either ... until quite recently) he's a comedian from South Africa who apparently made a couple of previous guest appearances on "The Daily Show."
Regardless of whether or not you know who he is, or are a fan of his comedy, he is also known for posting a number of anti-semitic, anti Israeli and sexist comments on twitter. What makes Jon Stewart such a brilliant comedian is that he is funny without being racist, sexist, homophobic, anti-semitic, etc. ~~ Trever Noah is NOT up to the standards of "The Daily Show's legacy and should not be allowed to assume the helm.
I'm asking all fans of "The Daily Show" to sign this petition and ask Comedy Central to cancel their decision to have Trevor Noah as the new host. Since he's already been hired, I'm also asking fans to BOYCOTT the show .... once Jon Stewart is no longer hosting. I'm sure that all of us look forward to whatever projects Jon decides to take on in the future. The man is an ICON, a LEGEND and a COMEDIC GENIUS !!!! Trevor Noah is the complete opposite (offensive, uneducated, a disgrace to the legend of Jon Stewart and The Daily Show) !!!!!!!!
