Stop the Proposal for Rezoning in Hickory

We do not support Proposal to rezone Hickory Middle School to Greenbrier Middle.

The people who live in the area do not support our neighborhoods rezoning from Hickory Middle to Greenbrier Middle. Those of us who live in an established neighborhood who have been paying substantial taxes for the area should not have to be rezoned because all of the new developments and overcrowding. The city should be making plans to add on to the current school or build a new school.

Good afternoon! Thank you all for your signatures and support. The petition signatures are great but we all need to show up at the meeting tomorrow night, January 23 at 6pm at the School Administration Building by City Hall. We are also encouraging everyone to sign up to speak by calling 757-547-1047.

Good afternoon! For those who are unaware, there was a community meeting last night orchestrated by a neighbor. We had around 50 people come out to the meeting to discuss a game plan for the school board meeting coming up. We have created a FB page to keep everyone updated on the latest dates/times and information pertaining to the rezoning proposal.
