The federal government banned its tools across federal agencies and labeled it a national security risk.
Let us be clear: this was the
right thing for Anthropic to do. Without a guarantee that their AI models wouldn't be used to fully deploy deadly weapons or spy on civilians en masse,
Anthropic could not ethically or safely sign a contract with the DoD.But within hours, OpenAI stepped in to take its place, forfeiting any morals for the chance of a profitable deal with the war-hungry Trump administration.
