The conditions for a successful year in softball were in place! Coach Michael Espinoza and his staff of AMAZING coaches had spent part of 2019 and 2020 building a formidable group of girls who were destined to have a powerful impact in high school softball. Success was achieved early in the season with remarkable performances from the talented group of young ladies that were lead by the knowledge and dedication of Coach Espinoza and his staff. Sadly, Covid-19 ended the season early but the excitement and anticipation of what could have been and what was to come still lived in the hearts of these wonderful coaches and also in the heart's of the wonderful athletes they mentored. We have all been looking forward to picking back up from where we left off WITH Coach Espinoza's leadership.
Our small yet loyal Bourgade softball community has been shaken by the news of Coach Espinoza's release. The main motive of this petition is to discover the reason behind "Coach Espi's" removal. We demand a reason for his sudden exoneration. If a reasonable response is not provided then we demand the return of Coach Michael Espinoza to the Bourgade Catholic High School Softball Program.
Please sign this petition to show all the love and support the families and friends of Bourgade have for Coach Espinoza and the coaching staff. We FIRMLY request the rehiring of this well trusted man to guide our children into their bright future as softball players.
Bourgade Catholic High School states it is here to "assist students in discovering their God-given potential." Coach Michael Espinoza fulfills that statement for our children as their coach in every way. They have formed a bond, he has their respect and they are prepared to work hard for each other because they are a team in every sense of the word. Please do not take that from them!
