China's People Say No to the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Let's End This Cruelty Once and for All!

In the southern region of Guangxi, China, the Yulin Dog Meat Festival has become an infamous annual event. This "festival," is actually just a dog meat trade where thousands of dogs are killed for their meat. Contrary to what the festival organizers might claim, most of the population in China doesn't even consume dog meat.

On top of that, some of the dogs slaughtered at Yulin are literally abducted from Chinese households by vendors who want extra meat. We stand in solidarity with the Chinese people and animal protection groups that are demanding the Chinese government take action!

Sign now to tell the Chinese government to strengthen law enforcement, increase public education campaigns, and create more legal challenges to dog meat trading!

These animals are often transported over long distances, crammed into cages with little food or water, and arrive sick and traumatized. Upon arrival, they face brutal killings, including being beaten, strangled, or stabbed in full view of other dogs, further adding to their suffering. Often, the dogs are then skinned and boiled alive. Images and stories from the festival are a thing of nightmares.

This cruel event does not reflect the values of the Chinese people or the progress that China has made in animal welfare -- it is simply an exploitative business driven by a few bad actors in the dog meat trade. The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is a celebration of the kidnapping, torture, and brutal slaying of hundreds of thousands of dogs, and it is time the Chinese government stand up to the dog trade industry

By increasing law enforcement, creating a public education campaign, and challenging dog meat trading legally, the state can reduce some of the suffering of this horrific annual event. Sign now if you agree!
