Rowski l5l was suspended 10 games by the iohl.net staff for a racial slur that was not directed toward a specific person. The comment was also taken out of the wrong context by a team that was upset that they lost their previous game to this player which is why they took action on this incident. The only way I see that this could be a 10 game suspension is if it were directed towards somebody that took offence of this word "/\/igger", but it wasn't. In the Player Bill of Rights Article 6 Section 1.2 it states that "Derogatory, negative, malicious, etc. comments towards other Players in the IOHL will not be tolerated. You will be given respect and it is expected that you will respect others as well." The phrase that should lessen his suspension is "comments towards other Players in the IOHL will not be tolerated". You also have to consider that this is his first offense of any sort. With this severe of a suspension being 10 games (a fourth of this regular season) its hurts his team greatly. Imagine if this were to happen last season, this suspension would be the equivalent of a 20 game suspension.
*I do not condone nor support racial slurs of any sort. I just believe this is too severe of a suspension and should be appealed to a much shorter length for a racial slur that was not directed towards a specific person.
*Team Slovakia's management has not participated in writing any part of this and has no knowledge of this being made. I am a close of friend of Rowski's and am not typing this up in spite of his suspension. I believe that if this were my suspension I would feel very violated of my player rights in this league.
