Keep Blue Hole Open To The Public!

Recently, the entrance to the Blue Hole swimming site has been closed off due to neighboring property owners complaining of people trespassing on his property to get there. The property surrounding Blue Hole is municipal and is owned by the village of Saugerties, however, the trail to get there crosses onto another family’s property. Many locals have been going to this swimming hole for years, to cool down on a hot summer day and to simply enjoy the beautiful nature and landscape surrounding it. For one property owner to completely take away the swimming hole from everyone else is not logical— and is simply unfair to those who come to respectfully enjoy the hike and the water. We need to voice this to the town board and make it known that we locals of Saugerties can’t let this happen! Keep Blue Hole and it’s beauty open to the public, as it has been for years!
