Safety for our children in schools!!!

February 2, 1996; two students and one teacher killed and one injured in Moses Lake, Washington by 14 year old Barry Loukaitis. March 13, 1996; sixteen children and one teacher killed in Dunblane, Scotland by Thomas Hamilton. February 19,1997; principal and one student killed in Bethel, Alaska by 16 year old Evan Ramsey. I don't think I have to go on to convince you that security would be best for schools in this day and age.
I am a mother of a one year old son. In 3 years I will have to send him to school with all the other children. I don't want to be on the receiving end of that devastating phone call and I'm sure you don't either. Our children's safety is what matters most to us, so when we send them to school shouldn't we be able to have a clear head instead of worrying if our child will come home?
You shouldn't sign for me, you shouldn't sign for you, you should sign for your child's safety. If you are a concerned parent who is against violence, you should sign. You should sign to ease your mind during the day about your child's safety. Lastly, you should sign for a safe educational environment for the people and children of today and tomorrow.
