We, the residents of Stuart, Florida and surrounding areas are writing to petition for the establishment of a Quiet Zone in our city for the Brightline train. The current noise levels caused by the train horns are significantly impacting our quality of life and enjoyment of peaceful living.
As a community, we understand the importance of safety measures at rail crossings. However, we believe that the implementation of a Quiet Zone, which would provide train conductors with the option to not blow the horn or to blow the horn less would greatly benefit our community without compromising safety.
According to the data we have gathered, the city of Stuart is now looking to Martin County and capable parties to file a quiet zone application. We urge the relevant authorities to take the necessary steps to apply for this designation, as it would greatly improve the living conditions for residents in the area.
We believe that a Quiet Zone would not only improve the quality of life for residents, but also increase the attractiveness of the city for visitors and potential residents. We hope that our petition will be taken into consideration and that the necessary steps will be taken to establish a Quiet Zone in Stuart, Florida.
