The corporations that (not WHO)made their billions of profit dollars and gained status as "people" move headquarters overseas to avoid paying taxes to the country that 'birthed' them. This despicabe behavior gives the finger to democracy, the men and women who protect this once great country from the cop on the beat to those losing their lives overseas. I say once great because of the Supreme Court rulings of the recent past that grant corporations more rights than the average American can enjoy. The employees are definitely not enjoying a livable wage or corporate paid benefits and withholding the cost of these "luxuries" allows those net profits to go directly into the pockets of the top dogs who are now lifting the corporate leg on those same employees. Guess that is what they mean by "trickle down".
Greed based decisions reflect the overall lack of mentality that should be at the heart of any business, especially one that has thrived in the US. They are certainly not the first nor will they be the last unfortunately, and this is due largely to the silent consent of shareholders and consumers. Speak up with your signature and follow up with the action of taking your business to a competitor who is grateful to the country that helped them grow. There are plenty of them out there, just look around and do your homework. It is not as difficult as you might think.
