Help Stop the Spread of Lice in Our School!

There is a serious Lice issue at our school and most parents are completely unaware of this. North Adams Community schools has an outbreak of head lice, and they will not warn the parents of this issue due to a privacy act. This ignorance is allowing children to pass lice back and forth more easily. I am tired of spending hundreds of dollars on my child's hair just to have her get lice yet again three months later! I believe the school should change their polices to include:
* When a student gets head lice the school will perform a lice check on every child in that students class.
* The school will send a note home with every child informing their parents that there was a student in the school who has lice.
* The school will send home a note to parents, of the kids who have lice, on the best ways to eliminate lice from their children's heads and from their homes. Including different brands of lice shampoo, the names and phone numbers of lice clinics in the area, and how to properly clean your home.
