Help Former Career College Students Drowning in Debt!

Corinthian Colleges, a chain of for-profit schools, has closed its doors, leaving thousands of students with nothing to show for the hours they invested in college classes.

But that's not the worst of it. Many of those students are now $40,000-$60,000 in debt. They took out federal education loans, believing Corinthian's promises that a degree would lead to a high-paying profession. Now, they are drowning in accrued interest and debts that will never lead to a degree. Please join with me in asking the Department of Education to forgive the debts of all Corinthian College students who attended for more than one semester and never earned a degree.

To the Department of Education:

We the undersigned respectfully request that you forgive all federal education loans to students who attended Corinthian College for more than one semester and did not earn a degree. Corinthian College promised students that they would earn salaries of $40,000 to $50,000 upon completion of a degree. That is not what happened. What happened is that the school closed down, and now all the students who were currently enrolled have lost their investment of time and money. This is a disaster for thousands of families. Not only do these students have nothing to show for time spent in classes, they are heavily in debt with no hope of finishing a degree. Please forgive all Corinthian College debt as needed to be fair to these devastated students.
