Human Noise Pollution in Oceans is Forcing Dolphins to Shout at Each Other

Scientists and wildlife advocates have long speculated that noise pollution is having a massive impact on marine life, and new research unfortunately confirms everyone's worst fears.

In a recent study, researchers found that dolphins needed to stressfully "shout" at one another to communicate in their native habitats because the ocean was so loud with noise.

Offshore drilling is likely a huge contributor to this. It is time for the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to finally investigate the impacts of these industrial processes on beloved wildlife!

Sign now to tell NOAA to assess the effects of offshore drilling on marine mammals and take action to curb whatever harm is discovered!

The reality is that this information may just be the tip of the iceberg. Loud, industrial noises in ocean waters could impact hunting, mating, and even migration patterns for already threatened marine mammals like dolphins. And frankly, at a bare minimum, these animals simply deserve to feel safe and comfortable in their habitats, not stressed out.

NOAA is legally bound to protect dolphins and whales under the Marine Mammals Protection Act. It is time the agency assess the effect of offshore drilling on marine mammals! Sign the petition now if you agree!
