For decades, California has led the way in protecting the environment—but now, our progress is at risk. Federal rollbacks on environmental policies, funding cuts, and attacks on clean air and water directly threaten our communities and the Bay. We must act now to strengthen protections for a cleaner, healthier future.
The Trump Administration is threatening to cut hard-won funding that goes to Bay Area wetland restoration and sea level rise projects that protect Bay Area communities and wildlife from climate change. Despite these challenges, California still has the power to make progress. This is why we are proud to support California legislation that will restore critical Clean Water Act protections for Californians that were cut by the Supreme Court and the Trump Administration. Meanwhile, in Washington we are working to protect critical EPA funding that supports a clean, healthy and resilient San Francisco Bay. We have fought for a cleaner environment for decades, now our leaders must act to secure strong state protections and safeguard our progress.

For 64 years, Save The Bay has led efforts to protect the Bay and the Bay Area's environment. Thanks to advocacy and community support, we've restored wetlands, stopped reckless Bay developments, and secured critical climate funding.
