Excessive noise levels at the Oncor Roanoke Switchyard negatively impacting neighboring residential community.

The Roanoke Switchyard operated by Oncor Electric at 13530 Henrietta Creek Rd has been and will continue to be a vital link in the Electric chain that this area depends on. However, in the last few months the noise levels omitted from this Switchyard have increased to levels that are well above the Industry standard 59 decibels for such stations located next to residential areas. Measurements have been obtained showing levels at times as high as 76 decibels which can be sustained for several hours at a time. For some the noise may be nothing more than an annoyance while outside but for those living closest to the facility it can feel almost as an invasion of privacy where even in your own home the vibration of the noise can’t be escaped from. I ask that if you or your family are effected by the noise levels at the switchyard to Join me in asking Oncor to take immediate action in bringing their facility in Roanoke into guidance with industry standards.
