Tell FOX to Lay Off the Rumor Mill!
- da: Care2.com

Fox News recently ran a bogus story about the solar company SunPower. They claim they got their information from a very "accredited source": Guns & Patriots magazine. The magazine published an article that made claims about a scandal involving a 1.2 million dollar loan. However, the "scandal" was entirely false.
Instead of double checking this story and looking for other resources, reporters at Fox News took this story and ran with it. They attempted to paint a disheartening picture of a failing corporation when in fact SunPower has successfully built the "largest" solar plant numerous times all around the world.
When people turn on their television, they want to hear the truth about the happenings of the world, not rumors and speculations. Demand that FOX news issue an apology for this false story and make a commitment to only reporting on real news!
Dear Roger Ailes,
When people change the channel to watch the news they want to hear facts, not fiction. The false story about the SunPower "scandal" should have never hit the air waves.
The integrity of a news station is heavily based on the quality of information delivered and your integrity was compromised when that false story was run. Accusations of that magnitude should be thoroughly checked and researched before any action to report on it takes place.
