State of Alabama National Freedom & Justice Movement United Petition to #OpentheCells of Freedom for #PrisonersofthePandemic

  • da: Vanessa Sparks
  • destinatario: Kay Ivey, Alabama Parole Board, Alabama Prison Oversight Committee

Paying a "debt to society" should not automatically equate a potential Death Sentence
The issues surrounding mass incarceration increase in private prisons and Jim Crow laws & tactics have facilitated the enslavement & over prosecution for profit within the state of Alabama.
With the crisis of Covid 19, those who are incarcerated and their loved ones are faced with the possibility of dying, which is tantamount to a potential Death Sentence.
We are asking that you please sign this petition addressed to the Governor (Ivey), Senate & Legislators to resentence Juvenile Offenders (International Law & Miller vs Alabama), make sure that all sanitation policies enacted by the Justice Department are enforced, provide adequate & timely testing for Prisoners & Staff, release monthly stats on the virus rates & review, modify & resentence those who have served over 50% of their sentence.
We are prepared to aid & assist this process through the National Freedom & Justice Movement United & our supporters & partnerships.
Mission/Description: We are a Prisoner & Human Rights Advocacy group made of friends, families & concerned citizens throughout the US.
Purpose: We are here to offer support & assistance, and to liberate those who deserve to be free.
Thank you for your time. Volunteers are welcome to get involved. Please reach out to us!
