ALTA ENTERPRISES 1 LLC, “DO THE RIGHT THING!” Renew the Lease & Keep BAWADI MEDITERANEAN GRILL at 5916 Leesburg Pike in Falls Church VA

In March 31, 2018 the lease for Bawadi Mediterranean Grill at 5916 Leesburg Pike expires. Although Bawadi Mediterranean Grill had paid rent on time in the last 4 years, their landlord Alta Enterprises 1 LLC is refusing to renew the lease or even give Bawadi a six months, paid in advance, to find a new location and move out. Bawadi has been asking for a lease renewal for more than a year, Landlord had never gave Bawadi any reason for not renewing the lease but kept dragging time. On February 8th, 2018 Bawadi received a letter from Landlord’s lawyer asking to evacuate the building by March 31, 2018. Bawadi lawyer has exercised all negotiation means to make a deal to renew the lease but no success, even Bawadi’s offer to pay 3 or 6 or 12 months in advance in consideration for the landlord's consent to remain open for such period was declined. We still don’t understand the reasons for landlord decision.
More than 10 families rely on Bawadi for income, and landlord decision to leave the property on a short notice will cause all 10 families to lose their jobs, I appeal to you to sign this petition to save Bawadi employees and families.
