Stop the Lies About Health Care Reform
We are finally on our way to health care reform but opponents of the President's plan are making ridiculous claims and using scare tactics to throw us off track. They have even tried to convince Americans that the reform proposal will create death panels that decide the fates of sick or elderly -- it's simply not true, and completely absurd.
Special interest groups who have a stake in the current system are doing everything they can to mislead Americans. This is not the time for public hostility. The health of the American people is on the line and we need to fix our ineffective health care system before it's too late.
That's why we need to ensure that our fellow Americans understand the truth about health care reform. Pledge not to fall for the lies and spread the truth to five friends. Here are the facts about health care reform:
1. It will improve access to quality care, lower costs and leave decisions about your health up to you and your doctor. Seniors will actually have more control over their end-of-life care.
2. If you don't have health insurance, you will have quality, affordable options and if you do have health insurance, no insurance company or government bureaucrat will block you from the care that you need. If you like what you have, you can keep it!
3. Health care reform will NOT ration care. It will end rationing by big insurance companies and people with pre-existing conditions will longer no be denied coverage.
Opponents to Obama's health care plan are taking extreme measures to mislead Americans, egg protesters on, and scare people away from health care reform. Instead, we need a dialogue that will address everyone's concerns and get the facts straight.
The truth is that health care reform will empower you to make important choices about your health. Pledge to dispel the lies and spread the truth about health care reform to five friends!
