This is an important moment. When we hear leaders in Washington talk about the special relationship between the U.S. and Israel, we see divisions and fissures in our politics. This has us worried.

That's why the Democratic Majority for Israel was founded. Our organization's mission is to maintain support for a strong U.S.-Israel relationship along with a progressive policy agenda. DMFI is headed by a world-class group of diverse Democrats who are committed to ensuring our party continues to stand united in support of Israel.

We advocate for a two-state solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict and believe that just as we criticize President Trump and are proud Americans, we too can have disagreements with the current Israeli government while supporting the country.

Democrats have a long-standing commitment to a strong, mutually beneficial, U.S.-Israel relationship — a vision and a relationship grounded in shared values and shared interests.
