Close the Wage Gap: Demand Equal Pay for Women

Millions of Americans across the country are doing the same job as their colleagues and putting in the same number of hours, but are receiving considerably less compensation for their hard work. Why the pay gap? Simply because those millions of Americans are women.

Isn’t it crazy that - in the year 2014 - we’re still fighting to close the gender wage gap? On average, women in America currently make 77 cents for every dollar that their male peers take home.

It’s not right. If we strengthened equal pay protections, we could all be lifted up as this is an issue that affects our entire economy. Tell Congress that equal work deserves equal pay. Urge them to take action to close the gender pay gap!
