Tell Congress: End The Tiger Slaughter

Poaching is the #1 threat to tigers. Their skins are used to make wallets and other accessories, while other parts are rumored to have medicinal properties. It all adds up to deep trouble for these majestic animals: only 3,200 wild tigers are left on this earth!

Congress has the power to help stop the illegal trade in tiger products. The END Wildlife Trafficking Act currently in the U.S. Senate will help to crack down on poachers and traffickers, and protect tigers on the ground.

Sign the petition and help us get 30,000 people to write Congress in support of this legislation. The future of tigers depends on us protecting them in the wild.
Dear Decisionmaker,

As your constituent and a supporter of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), I am writing to request that you support H.R. 2494, the Eliminate, Neutralize, and Disrupt (END) Wildlife Trafficking Act.

Tigers are beautiful animals. That also means they fall victim to poachers and traders that use their skins to make wallets and other accessories. With fewer than 3,200 tigers left in the wild, there is an urgent need to stop the trafficking of tigers and other endangered wildlife.

Poaching and trafficking operations are growing in scale and sophistication, threatening the extinction of some of our most iconic species, including tigers. By some estimates, wildlife trafficking is the fourth largest illicit industry, behind only trafficking in drugs, weapons, and humans, and is supporting extremist groups abroad.

The END Wildlife Trafficking Act is an important bill because it bolsters efforts to better equip wildlife law enforcement and park rangers, often the first line of defense against poachers, traffickers and organized criminal syndicates benefiting from the illegal trade in wildlife.

Please support passage of this bipartisan legislation to prevent poaching and trafficking that is fueling terrorist networks and threatening iconic wildlife species with extinction.
